2024 US Presidential Frontrunner Does Not Hold Bitcoin ‘So I Can Remain Impartial’

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for President in 2024? The New York congresswoman is certainly popular with youngsters, but whether or not she’ll eventually become the Democratic nominee for President in three years time (when Joe Biden will be 82) is anyone’s guess at this point.

In any case, sports bettors have her up there as one of the favorites already. Strange as she’s being seen as a leftwing extremist by the Trump supporters, the former President whom everyone expects to run for the Republicans again.

Dave Mason recently admitted that:

Naturally, odds for the next election cycle almost always favor the opponent, in this case Joe Biden, or the current Vice President. But while the 2024 Presidential Election odds list Kamala Harris as the most probable option, AOC is getting the most love from early bettors.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, or AOC, is hands-down the favorite among millennials and Generation Z, but whether her Democratic colleagues will let her run is anyone’s guess.

Ethically and impartially

Of course AOC is being asked more and more as to her global policies, such as where she stands on crypto for example. Speaking on Instagram this week, she revealed that she does not hold any Bitcoin—or any other financial assets for that matter—because in her view members of Congress should not hold or trade in financial products. The topic was even discussed in US business media yesterday.

Because we have access to sensitive information and upcoming policy, I do not believe members of Congress should hold/trade individual stock and I choose not to hold any so I can remain impartial about policy marking.

AOC stated.

I also extend that to digital assets/currencies (especially because I sit on the Financial Services Committee). So the answer is no because I want to do my job as ethically and impartially as I can.

She added. Good to know that there is a slight hint of possible regulation discussions coming then.
