Asian Crypto Armies Back XRP
Last Updated on 27 January 2021 by CryptoTips.eu
During the 2017-2018 ICO bull run which saw Bitcoin near $20,000 for the first time, it became obvious for youngsters in Europe and the US that they were being outnumbered by Asians of their own age on social media. For every American millennial that bought or sold Bitcoin, there were three like him over in Japan, South Korea and China. A new middle class is being developed.
As Mauro F. Gullen rightly predicts in his October 2020 book entitled 2030 how today’s biggest trends will collide, Asian youngsters are ready to take over from their European and American peers. In a decade or so, retailers will brand their marketing towards K-pop fans and terms like honne and tatamae will become quite common.
Interestingly enough, in that same book he also mentions that 2030 is the probable date for crypto’s global adoption. If you combine those two factors together then two stories from Coindesk and crypto study desk Messari are quite an interesting read to put together.
Japan and South Korea
The first one caught my eye this weekend. It stated that Japanese crypto fans, unlike their European or American peers, were not ready to give up on XRP, even though the company is being sued by the SEC in the US. The once third biggest crypto (by now the fifth) still has masses of fans in the land of the rising sun apparently.

And two days ago, study agency Messari came with another interesting titbit of information, declaring that South Korean youngsters still favored XRP (together with Bitcoin) over all other crypto currencies.

Kim Dotcom
A few weeks ago, MegaUpload founder Kim Dotcom made it clear that he would be focused on crypto as from now on, more notably Bitcoin Cash. During that time, he also admitted having purchased a lot of XRP, which he felt traded as a discount. In the long run, the Asian crypto armies might prove him right.
If you don’t believe me, check the demographics of Asian youngsters versus US and European ones. See how many of you there are versus how many of them, now check how it’s projected to shift in a few years.
