Bitcoin is at $38,300 at the time of writing on Monday. Just as the rest of the world, the cryptosphere seems to be in a waiting mood to see how the Russia versus Ukraine war plays out. Meanwhile crypto seems to play an ever greater role in the conflict. Digital currencies are used to help NGOs and Russian politicians try to move their money to crypto wallets before the Russian banks are cut from the swift system.
Binance, still the world’s biggest crypto platform, said it will donate $10 million to help with the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance, stated in a tweet that:
Binance is donating $10M to help the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine & @BinanceBCF launched the crypto-first crowdfunding Ukraine Emergency Relief Fund. Our focus is providing on-the-ground support. We just care about the people.

Swift banking system
Less than 10 days after this site predicted that members of the Russian government would hide into crypto in order to evade sanctions by the west, this is exactly how it has played out.
Over the weekend, as it became clear the US and Europe would cut Russia out of the SWIFT banking system, the Ukrainian government has warned that both Russian and Belarusian politicians would try and move their moneys over the weekend into cryptocoins.
Therefore, the government of Ukrainian president Zelensky is asking the cryptosphere for any information related to these cryptocurrency wallets. Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov tweeted that the Ukrainian crypto community will reward those who provide information.
Ukrainian crypto community is ready to provide a generous reward for any information about crypto-wallets of Russian and Belarusian politicians and their surroundings. War crimes must be pursued and punished! To share info please contact in Telegram: https://t.co/XHidwUQ8bE.

The government has already used Twitter to solicit crypto donations and posted in online hacker forums that it is looking for help in protecting against cyberattacks.
