Russia sending army troops back to bases not only boosts stocks but also Bitcoin as the world’s largest cryptocurrency touched upon $44k overnight again. Matt Damon apparently gave away all the proceeds of his damned Crypto.com ad to charity now and Hamstercoin is trending because of a Google Doodle.

Clara Medalie, analyst at crypto market data provider Kaiko, foresaw that most major coins were headed for one-month highs after the Russia versus Ukraine tensions eased overnight.

Clara said:

The past month has been bearish for nearly all crypto assets following a prolonged bout of low liquidity and macro-induced volatility.

It remains to be seen whether this upside break has conviction, with bitcoin still trading nearly $20,000 below previous all time highs.

Crypto.com ad with Matt Damon

Trying to relaunch their fake fight, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel claimed that Hollywood celebrity Matt Damon has donated the proceeds of his Crypto.com ad after it was mocked relentlessly by almost everyone (last week we told you how South Park made fun of it).

Kimmel stated:

Did you know Matt Damon gave all that money he made from that crypto commercial to charity? You know why he did it? Because no one likes him. It’s the only way he can get anyone to like him.

Doodle and a hamster

A new month, a new memecoin apparently, although we have to admit that Hamstercoin has been around for a bit. Yesterday the cryptocurrency enjoyed a 36% gain on a massive 324% trading volume increase.

The reason? It’s social media army was convinced that the Google Doodle of 14 February showed a pair of loved up hamsters.
