Bitcoin starts ‘Uptober’ in a positive mood, FTX trial will finally kick off and JPEX scandal moves to Australia

Bitcoin started the month of October well, after ending it’s best month of September since 2016, and at the time of writing is trading for around $28,000.
This is probably also due to the averting of a so-called ‘government shutdown’ in the United States, allowing investors to focus on normal economic news again instead of having to worry whether the US congress will pay its employees on time.
October is known as “Uptober” to crypto investors as it is traditionally the most positive month for crypto.
In New York we are starting the largest crypto trial ever, that of Sam Bankman-Fried while the Asian JPEX scandal is moving to Australia for a while.
FTX Proces
While the rest of America is watching Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, in New York they are mainly looking forward to seeing whether Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen will show up for the biggest crypto trial to date, namely that of FTX and Sam Bankman-Fried.
As from tomorrow, October 3rd, until about mid-November, witnesses and experts will be listened to, while Sam’s defense will try to blame his ex and former counselors, who have all turned against him and will speak on behalf of the US prosecutor.
The biggest question for investors is whether they will ever see any return of their lost investments in FTX, aka the money in their former customer accounts.
JPEX in Australia
In Asia, people are still wondering who is to blame for the JPEX scandal, which by now accounts for a loss of some $180 million. Asian influencers and actors in particular were charged by the authorities in Hong Kong.
One of the latest new defendants is Australian actor named Jeremiah Hartmann who a few months ago shot a video in front of a building called JPEX’s Metaverse lab in Sydney. When the police raided the building, it turned out to be empty.
Mr Hartmann, who held the title of Australian marketing manager for JPEX, claims he is just an actor who got paid for a job and that he never actually met anyone from JPEX.
18 local celebrities have already been arrested in various Asian countries.
