Bitcoin recovered after a grueling week of selloffs saw all major crypto coins drop to multi-week levels. Analysts were hoping that now everything was in place for a multi week bull run towards a new high as we almost enter the final month of the year. December it typically a great month for Bitcoin.

The Bitcoin fear and greed index, which last week pointed to a pending correction, has now swung the other way, meaning a possible runup is indeed in the cards.

Brave’s users

Brave is a web browser that pays its users when they see ads. Payment is done in its native token Basic Attention token or BAT. Thanks to this innovative concept, the browser already attracts more than 42 million monthly users. Even podcaster Joe Rogan, who boasts more than 20 million social media followers, once admitted being a user.

Brave has now expanded and integrated its own crypto wallet into the browser directly. Internet surfers using the Brave browser will thus be able to buy, sell, and trade cryptocurrencies like Ethereum or Bitcoin, store their NFTs and even keep track of how much coins are selling for.

Wallet extensions

Brian Bondy, chief technology officer and co-founder at Brave, said that the need for such an innovative move was because of the many phishing wave attacks that crypto holders have experienced. He explained that:

One of the biggest problems with extensions is how easy it is for criminals to make fake ones pretending to be a good wallet extension, such spoofing attacks are quite common.

A few weeks ago, we already highlighted the growing importance of the Basic attention Token and it’s Brave Browser, while pointing to the fact that professor Scott Galloway assumes Silicon Valley will soon start shopping for some good crypto companies to add to their portfolio, and that Brave is high on everyone’s list. A company to keep an eye on for sure.
