China And USA Install Crypto ATMs
Last Updated on 20 June 2021 by CryptoTips.eu
Although the thrill of writing about all-time-highs for Bitcoin, Ethereum and Dogecoin lies a few months in the past by now (April where have you gone), that doesn’t mean that global adoption of cryptocurrency isn’t continuing.
Just this week, both superpowers (the US and China) admitted that crypto is here to stay when they installed ATMs allowing you to purchase, trade or sell cryptocoins.
E-Yuan in Bejing
The Chinese government is keen to introduce its digital currency, the E-Yuan (or the digital RMB), to as many citizens at the same time. It has therefore introduced digital yuan withdrawals at more than 3,000 ATM locations in Beijing.
ICBC's more than 3,000 deposit and withdrawal all-in-one machines across the capital have activated this function, becoming the first bank in Beijing to fully launch digital RMB cash exchange.

Xinhua News noted that the Beijing branches of two major banks in the Middle Kingdom, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and the Agricultural Bank of China, are opening ATMs which offer the choice of a digital or a traditional version of the national fiat currency.
Bitcoin in Texas supermarket
Over in the USA, it is mostly the great state of Texas that is rolling out the red carpet for Bitcoin. Whereas its oversized power grid (with 20% wind power and thus green energy) is attracting Bitcoin miners who are being chased out of China, by now its supermarkets are also keen to jump onto the trend.

On Friday the newspaper Houston Chronicle noted that supermarket chain HEB, one of the oldest in the state, was ready to install 29 crypto ATMs in its stores, allowing customer to purchase, trade and sell Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Ethereum and many others.
Adoption is definitely coming. In some cases, it’s already here.
