Crypto CEO took excessive Cocaine whilst inviting 19-year-old intern to Miami Bitcoin Conference

English employees are known to sue their employers. Not in numbers as great as the Americans, but still. It should therefore not be surprising that a crypto CEO was charged with ‘unacceptable behavior’ during the annual Bitcoin conference in Miami, but what is contained in the indictment is quite stunning though.

Crypto company B2C2 announced in November last year that CEO Philip Gillespie would be replaced by Nicola White. According to the report, which was not particularly noticeable at the time, Gillespie would return to investment company AWR Capital. But when a former B2C2 employee filed a complaint against the company and its CEO earlier this month, it became clear why Gillespie ‘chose’ this transition.

Thailand

Brad Nagela, former head of operations and managing director, said that he was let go by B2C2 after he told management about the ‘performance’ of CEO Philip Gillespie at the Bitcoin Conference in Miami last year.

The Miami Conference is the annual gathering of crypto influencers and companies in Florida which is dominated by speeches and bullish predictions as to the Bitcoin price. There is also quite a bit of partying.

According to the suit, Brad accuses his former boss of excessive drinking, taking cocaine and hallucinogens, as well as giving the drugs to others.

Lastly, Gillespie apparently invited a 19-year-old intern, who worked in the Thai division of the company to join him in Miami and also provided her with cocaine and hallucinogens.

Brad told the board of B2C2 that the behavior of their CEO could “potentially could be viewed as forced coercion and/or human trafficking.”

Furthermore, the intern’s father had complained that his 19-year-old daughter was invited to Miami. He was concerned that his daughter was “too young” and revealed that she lived in Thailand.

The father was “‘afraid’ that the invitation extended to his daughter was bogus,” and not truly on behalf of the company, but that it “was related to prostitution.”
