According to the company, malware was installed on the computer used for transactions on the exchange. The moment a Cashaa employee tried to log into the account, the hacker received a notification via this malware and was able to send the Bitcoin from the Cashaa hot wallet to his own wallet. With just two transactions, he was able to steal 336 BTC from the exchange wallets.
Casha CEO, Mr. Kumar Gaurav explained that the hack took place on one of the wallets the company used to store Bitcoin. The crime has been reported by the company to the Delhi crime agency as it quickly became clear that the hacker was in India.

Cashaa tries to ensure that the hacker fails to sell Bitcoin using a crypto exchange or broker. A good example of how collaboration between the different platforms can lead to the crypto world losing its reputation for hacks and cyber crime.
