Mark Cuban Will Run For President When Bitcoin Hits $1 Million
Last Updated on 23 March 2021 by CryptoTips.eu
The easiest way to get Bitcoin into mass media is to have celebrities speak about it. In the past month we saw how many people were introduced to it when WAP singer Megan Thee Stallion started to give away free Bitcoin. Now that most of her female fans are looking at serious gains (Bitcoin nearly doubled in price since her infamous tweet), other are jumping on the bandwagon as well.
Given the chaotic scenes in Washington this week, where QAnon and Trump supporters stormed the congress building, talk is of course of which celebrity billionaire will run for President in 2024.
Dallas Mavericks and Golden State Warriors
One of those who stepped up to the plate was Shark Tank celebrity Mark Cuban. The Dallas Mavericks owner was pushed by Chamath Palihapitiya.
A known venture capitalist and board member of rival NBA team the Golden State Warriors, who stated:
There will be a viable third political party in the US by 2030. Centrist, pragmatic and cuts through the bullshit. The current system is so broken, you can only support it through a combination of willful blindness and stupidity.
I'll run if BTC gets to $1m AND we can get commitments to donate 350 BTC to the Treasury each of the 4 yrs so that we can give 1 satoshi to every citizen each yr, that they must hold for 10 years. How's that sound 🙂 https://t.co/dW0e7FJ91m

Cuban, knowing full well that his friend is a longtime Bitcoin bull while he himself is known as being a skeptic, said:

Mark Cuban: “#Bitcoin is worth what someone will pay for it...I rather have bananas. I can eat bananas.” 9/27/19

Yes, @mcuban, bitcoin, like everything else, is worth what someone will pay for it. pic.twitter.com/JzxIY0am2V
He later corrected it to “100 satoshis” per person but it was widely seen as a more supportive stance by Cuban for Bitcoin, who has been a long-time skeptic.
Back in December 2019, he famously stated that there was “no chance” it could become a reliable currency and even said that when having to choose between Bitcoin and bananas, he’d choose bananas.
Crypto supporters have been reminding him of this ever since.
