Netflix creates Bitfinex $4 billion Bitcoin hack series with Emily In Paris star

One bright spot in the rather bad crypto year of 2022 was the arrest of the famous Bitfinex hacker couple, Ilya Lichtenstein and Heather Rhiannon Morgan. The young couple from New York, who managed to steal some $4 billion in Bitcoin from the Bitfinex platform back in 2016, had quite the strange lifestyle it turned out. Heather used part of the money to finance her rapper career. However, even with all those millions and a lot of fake reviews, Heather’s rap career never quite took off.
Eventually, the FBI found the couple because they bought too many gift cards with the proceeds. Heather used her own address as the delivery address for the Walmart gift cards. Ilya mainly bought gold and had it shipped to his real address as well. However, the majority of Bitcoins have never left the crypto wallet to which they funneled the stolen funds.

She's now set to plead guilty to money laundering billions in crypto.

By now, Netflix is wrapping up production with a series about their adventures. The star contracted to play Heather is none other than Lily Collins, better known as ‘Emily in Paris’.
That’s a good thing, because this week they’ll both appear in a New York court and plead guilty, so Netflix gets free publicity. The young couple has struck a deal with the judge and the US government will once again be in possession of a whole lot of Bitcoins apparently.
Razzlekhan
Heather “Razzlekhan” Morgan received lots of media attention from crypto twitter last year, when it emerged that she had tried to fund a rap career with the proceeds of the Bitfinex hack. That didn’t really work out well, but everyone had a good laugh of course.
Thanks to the fact that there were so many videos of the two online on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, the story of Heather and Ilya quickly went viral in the United States.
According to court documents released recently, the US authorities are convinced that another criminal has yet to be found and it is better to let both Morgan and Lichtenstein out of jail (for now) in exchange for a lot of Bitcoins. This story clearly isn’t over yet.
Heather, meanwhile, has found a job in New York at an unnamed tech company. We are already looking forward to see what Netflix will come up with. Currently working title: “Razzlekhan: The Infamous Crocodile of Wall Street“
