Original Dogecoin Dog Seriously Ill

In 2010, Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer saw a picture of a Shiba Inu dog on a Japanese blog and decided to use the image for their newest cryptocurrency, called Dogecoin. The blog was created by Atsuko Satō, a teacher at a Japanese kindergarten who keeps posting new photos of her pets online.
On the Japanese blog, it is the third photo of Kabosu, the name of her Shiba Inu dog, which is quite important to the crypto world.
Sick since Christmas Eve
This week, Atsuko revealed that Kabosu is not doing very well as he prepares to celebrate his 17th birthday. If you know that Shiba Inu dogs live on average between 12 and 15 years old, it is not surprising of course.
Atsuko said her dog:
Has been sick since Christmas Eve. Not drinking or eating from myself. Going to the hospital today. We enjoyed taking everyone’s Christmas pictures.
In 2018 Vitalik Buterin, who founded Ethereum, visited Kabosu. You can still find the photos of his visit on the dog’s blog.

Billy Palmer saw Atsuko Satō’s post on Instagram and asked his two million followers to send the original Dogecoin lots of love and good vibes.
Hope you get better soon Kabosu.
