A screenshot from a Simpsons episode has gone viral because it appeared to be predicting the price of XRP. Since the Ripple Labs coin is just about the only one that has had a good month of September, that is understandable.

Infinite Bitcoin

The Simpsons do predict more things. For example, they (correctly) already thought in 2015 that Donald Trump would win the presidential elections of the following year and they had an episode about possible tampering with voting machines before the American presidential elections of 2020.

Also in 2020 there was an image where Bart writes on the blackboard that XRP would reach a value of $589 by the end of the year.

At that time, Ripple Labs had just started their lawsuit against the SEC, so it seemed timely. Since XRP has been in the news lately and the Simpsons is still wildly popular, the image is back on social media a lot.

This isn’t the first time the Simpsons talk about crypto. Just last year there was an episode about the future in which the price of Bitcoin is labeled as infinite (Gamestop trades for $1 trillion and Tesla is ‘too expensive’) and an episode in which Jim Parsons (known as Sheldon Cooper from the Big Bang Theory ) explains all about crypto.

Whether they’re right about XRP this time we’re not sure, but the XRP army, the community of investors in XRP, would be very happy with it of course.
