Peter Thiel did not hold back during the Miami Bitcoin Conference. The Paypal co-founder and known fintech investor blasted ‘Omaha Oracle’ Warren Buffett and others in the classic finance system of Wall Street. Over in Russia, the Prime Minister unveiled that his countrymen were now holding some $130 billion in crypto already.

Speaking on the main stage of the Miami Bitcoin conference, known Republican backer Peter Thiel didn’t disappoint. Claiming that some figures of classic finance who are now clearly enemies of Bitcoin, he blasted Jamie Dimon of JP Morgan and several others.

Showing a picture of Warren Buffett on screen, he stated:

Enemy number one, I think he’s the sociopathic grandpa from Omaha. He is perhaps the most honest and direct in it.

Thiel’s speech made it to all the major US networks.

Crypto adoption

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin admitted that his countrymen were clearly adopting digital currencies at an ever faster rate since the start of the war with Ukraine.

Speaking at a press conference this week, he admitted that the Russian government is:

Well aware that we have more than 10 million young people having opened crypto wallets so far on which they have transferred significant amounts of money, which exceeds 10 trillion rubles.

At current exchange rates, that would mean some $130 billion dollars.
