Back in January, when Bitcoin was still trading in the $20k range (which seems like forever ago now), we ran a story on TikTok Astrologer Maren Altman who had gotten into predicting the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum, and who was racking up a new storm of followers in the cryptosphere.

As Bitcoin rose to ever greater heights, Altman was featured in a Reuters article for her entrance in the crypto community and got a lot of media attention.

Lucrative niche

At the time, crypto reporter Leigh Cuen explained that Altman had simply found a lucrative niche.

I think lots of crypto boys love to simp for hot women who talk about crypto, and Altman does it in a funny and unique way.

For those of you not in the know of Chanspeak or Reddit language, simp refers to a boy making too much effort for a girl he likes.

Take a break

Maren Altman has since a few days decided to take a break from most of her usual predicting as she’s been accused by several of her colleagues of plagiarism. She also posted an explanation and apology video, a common trait among influencers.

Even her regular crypto predictions have been halted. In a longspun article in RollingStone, many of her fellow astrologers explain how she apparently copied some of their predictions.

It of course makes us wonder what she said about Bitcoin. For those of you that don’t recall, here’s her 2021 spring prediction again, made around half January:

I see some favourable indicators at the end of the month and especially February and early March.

However getting into mid-March, I see a big correction. Mid-April is also really less optimistic. May is bullish.

Wait, so she missed the Elon Musk investing $1.5 billion Tesla money in Bitcoin? How did the stars not show that when she made her predictions?

I mean he was discussing it with Michael Saylor at that point. Oh well.
