Kasper Vandeloock is a trader who already has quite a long history in investing and crypto, even though he is only 23 years old. He lost about 90% of his capital last year when FTX collapsed, but is now back to trading. With an investment fund of some $450,000 to back his trades, he restarts in good spirits.
2 years of pain with lawyers & later FTX, but I'm finally here.

Kasper Vandeloock is seen as a quant, someone who finds smart investment strategies and then applies them to make a profit. In recent years, he has been especially lucky with trading on BitMEX.
He had noticed that whenever crypto trading got too busy, the BitMEX platform would take a few minutes to adjust the live prices and so he could take advantage of the difference between the quoted and the real price.
Spread
When Bitcoin dropped to $3,000 in 2019, he made an excellent investment and bought low due to the large spread on various crypto platforms.
2020 and 2021 were also good years for him, but in 2022 he had a real disaster year as he tied up most of his capital with FTX.
Many people want to launch @FTX_Official 2.0 but you would have to make so many changes:

- fix matching engine
- fix collateral weight of non-USD
- fix accounting
- more
At this point u basically have a brand new exchange.
Kasper was surprised when FTX went bankrupt and lost 90% of his fortune.
“Not a great thing that I lost all my funds on FTX but it’s a lesson that I learned,” he explained.
After a long litigation process against FTX and with the help of one of the founders of the NFT project Hashmask, he is now back on his feet and ready to start a new investment fund with a capital of $450,000.
