Follow the EOS price in euro
Above you can find the last price of EOS and a graph showing what the currency has been doing for the past day. With crypto, this is a bit different than with regular stocks or currencies, because for crypto a trading day is 24 hours. Crypto trading never stops, while regular traders go home when the market closes at 17.30 hours.
Crypto trading is also worldwide, so there is always someone trading somewhere. Trading bots place automated orders based on the market 24/7. You can imagine how many people were chained to their computers during the 2017 bull run.
Thanks to our partner Bitvavo, you’ll also have the opportunity to check the EOS price over the last seven days, the last 30 days, the performance of the currency since the beginning of the year (defined as a YTD) and also since the very first-time EOS was listed (to do so, click on ALL, which stands for all-time). You can also buy EOS directly and calculate the price.
Furthermore, this widget shows you how many trading costs you pay. The reason we recommend Bitvavo is that they are the cheapest provider in Europe. With this broker, you never pay more than 0.25% trading costs for every transaction. If you make higher volumes, you even get a discount on the trading fee.
EOS price in euros and dollars
The overview below shows how EOS performed in the last month and week, which allows you to see a certain trend. Besides, you can also see the current market capitalization and the highest and lowest price of the last 24 hours. It gives just a little bit more information than the Bitvavo widget.
However, if you’d like to see the quotation in Dollar instead of Euro, just click on the currency quotation you prefer (EUR or USD). Thanks to all this data, you can then make a well-considered choice which allows you to decide whether or not to invest in this cryptocurrency.
Note: the price can differ a few cents with the EOS price at the top of the page. This has to do with the fact that two different suppliers deliver the data.
The history of EOS’s price
EOS was designed to support the problem of large-scale applications. For example, while the network of global Visa payments can handle about 1600 transactions per second, for the classic Bitcoin it is only 7 transactions. So you can imagine that Bitcoin is not capable of processing many payments in a short period.
This is because Bitcoin needs to get a full consensus on the entire blockchain, which makes it slower but a lot safer. EOS claims to solve this problem by periodically giving new EOS to the entities that support their network, and only getting consensus from everyone who supports the network at that time. That is never more than 21 participants.
For example, the transaction costs are replaced by a 5% inflation for EOS, each year. 1% of this inflation is used to reward the producers of their blockchain. The remaining 4% is used to reward anyone who has a good proposal for the optimization of the EOS network.
The EOS price started with a quotation of 90 cents on 30 May 2017. Like almost every other crypto, it had an excellent year-end in 2017 during the bull run, when the price rose to 11 euros.
However, EOS continued in 2018 and reached its highest point of 15 euros in April.
Since then there has been a stabilization of the EOS price in 2019 until the end of 2019. After that the price has been climbing again. On 1 January 2020, the EOS value was around € 2 and has more than doubled since then.

Below you will find the EOS prices of the past week in euro.
How is the EOS price established?
The EOS value is determined by the balance between suppliers and buyers. As with any other commodity, share or currency trading, the EOS price is a result of the number of suppliers compared to the number of buyers. The more interest in EOS, the higher the price. The less interest, the lower the price. Simply explained, but that’s about it.
Where classic shares have a marketing department that sends out press releases for them, crypto rather depends on the news of the day, because the market is still very small compared to traditional shares. The coins do have messages and news, but less than ordinary shares.
As a result, positive news can sometimes take very big leaps. During a downtrend, on the other hand, there is no news and then the interest of the media goes to other things of course.
The EOS price you see on this page is an average of all cryptocurrency exchanges offering the currency. So there may be a price difference between the different exchanges.
EOS price prediction
Cryptocurrency is alive, you can’t ignore that. The hope and expectation of investors is that prices will rise. However, this prediction is impossible, since a lot can happen in the world of crypto.
Furthermore, a lot is still being developed on the project. In September 2019 the biggest update so far has been implemented.
Even though it was a curiosity a few years ago, now even legendary investor Warren Buffett has his first Bitcoins (a gift from Tron CEO Justin Sun).
The exact price forecast for EOS is not entirely predictable, but for cryptocurrency at the beginning of 2020 can be called positive.
What do you need to take into account with the EOS price?
Crypto is described by critics as risky because it has high price volatility. This means that the EOS price can easily be a few tens of percent higher or lower in a single day. This can happen very quickly, especially if you are not prepared for this. So take this into account beforehand. If you don’t have a problem with this, then investing in crypto might be something for you.
If you know about yourself that you are not stress-resistant, we advise you not to invest in crypto in general.
Beware, we can’t repeat it enough: research the project and don’t just invest in a coin. Inform yourself so that you know what you are investing in. And most importantly: never invest more money in it than you are willing to lose.
